Japarov condoles with Erdogan over deadly floods in Turkey

President Sadyr Japarov extended condolences to President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan on behalf of the people of Kyrgyzstan and in his own name over deadly floods in several provinces of Turkey, the Kyrgyz president’s website said.
Search-and-rescue crews in northern Turkey recovered 10 more bodies overnight, raising the death toll from the severe floods and mudslides that struck the region to 27, officials said on Friday. Dozens more people were believed to be missing.
Torrential rains pounded the Black Sea coastal provinces of Bartin, Kastamonu, Sinop and Samsun on Wednesday, causing the flooding that demolished homes and bridges and swept away cars. Helicopters lifted dozens of people to safety from rooftops, others were rescued on boats, Bloomberg reported. More than 1,700 people were evacuated across the region and many were being temporarily housed at student dormitories
